1- The differences between these releases is difficult to discern as they have nearly identical cover art. Originally it was believed that the original version had a gray spine while the re-released Special Edition has a black spine. It was later discovered that, in fact, the gray spine was not a guarantee of receiving the recalled release. The difference between the two is the "When Carol Met Larry" featurette that was removed from the re-released Special Edition. See footnote #2 for more information on that release.
2- Although this feature was removed from the
re-released DVD it apparently still exists on the disc. It is unknown if it exists on ALL future printings of the Special Edition DVD. For discs that still contain the featurette it is Title 5 on the disc also accessible via the raw file VTS_12_1.VOB.
